Alexandre Teyssonnière de Gramont
Double bass
Born in Versailles in 2003, Alexandre Teyssonnière de Gramont studied at the conservatories of Versailles and Paris before joining the classes of the CNSM in Paris and the Konninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague with Thierry Barbé and Jean-Edmond Bacquet for modern double bass, and Richard Myron, David Sinclair, and Maggie Urquart for historical double bass and violone.
Quickly recognized for his skills as a continuo player and chamber musician, at the age of 19 he became a regular member of Les Arts Florissants and has performed on numerous international stages with ensembles such as Le Consort, Sarbacanes, Pygmalion, Il Convito, Marguerite Louise, Le Poème Harmonique, the Royal Opera of Versailles, Pulcinella, Les Paladins, Les Folies Françoises, the Paris National Opera, and others.
