After studying at the Conservatory in Bogotá, Colombian violist Marta Paramo pursued her higher education and Master's degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, under the guidance and support of Rachel Podger and Catherine McGuillavry, where she was able to fulfill her dream of becoming a Baroque violist.

Based in France since 2002, Marta has made pivotal and memorable connections, including with Skip Sempé and Amandine Beyer, and has participated in productions directed by Christophe Rousset, Paul McCreesh, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Philippe Herrewegue at numerous international festivals and academies.

She has been a member of the ensemble Gli Incogniti since its inception and performs with various Baroque orchestras and ensembles across France and Europe, including Le Banquet Céleste, Capriccio Stravagante, Pygmalion, Le Concert d’Astrée, Les Talens Lyriques, Le Poème Harmonique, and Le Concert Spirituel.

Marta is also an integral member of the ensemble Le Consort, with whom she has recorded for the Harmonia Mundi label, and she has contributed to several recordings with various European labels.
